Yeah, for free, good luck, becasue even most Hentai games are not for free, atleast the new ones.

If you can find a copy of Princess Maker 2 for download the game is now out of contract, and is there for under now license. Which means it is legal for you to have now (yah!). Oh, here is a link that has the download and information on the game:
[EDIT - NO, Princess Maker 2 is still copyrighted by Gainax, and will be for many years. The english translation on the net is a leaked beta, and is neither an official release nor a freeware release. The license lease by SoftEgg expired in 2002, but that does not mean Gainax has relinquished its copyright for the North American market. -C] I am not aware of any other generic anime games that are not ecchi. However I have seen afew done by amature programers that you might want to check out. I should also point out that all ecchi are still under license and are illegal to own unless you have the orginal. |

Yes, there are anime games available for download. They're not really PC games, though, as they're more just anime games on a console emulator, but there's stuff out there like Love Hina games, etc. Problem: a lot of them are untranslated. While we're on the topic-- ever just consider getting console anime games on an emulator? There's a boatload of stuff like Gundam, Macross, Sailor Moon-- hell, even Marmalade Boy. |

There are also some classic RPG's that were never released in the states made for the SNES. There are now groups of "rom hackers" (hacker used in a good way
 ) that are in the process of translating these games to english. One of the groups can be found here:

actually, Peach Princess is putting out new bishoujo/hentai games. X-Change hit the market and did pretty well for them. The rest of the games've been slowly coming along. Little My Maid and Brave Soul are the next two big titles coming out from them.. |

In relation to the bishoujo/ecchi/hentai games market, there is not much demand for the games, and it is somewhat of a small market to begin with. There have also been meny problems with the games being bootlegged to the point where the companies where run out of bussness due to the lack of profit. There is a small growing demand for anime games on both the console market (ie PSX, PS2, ect), and the PC market. There are also planes in the work for a game languge to support the scripting of games simalar to the format of most bishoujo games out there right now (ie Critical Point, Snow Drop) which might generate enough interest to incress the market. However, the biggest problem with the market is the past problems with bootlegging (even though the games were a tad bit too pricy) With any luck though if there is enough interest the companies might try again with more main stream games. One that has not been mentioned that is still being made (last time I checked) is Graduation - you will have to hunt around alittle for it, but it might be worth checking out if you like growth sims.

There was a cool Final Fantasy Tactics type strategy RPG for Super Nintendo in Japan starring Tenchi & pals. I remember a YYH game for SNES, also. And of course, there's been like 30 DBZ games released for different systems. If you look around on the net, I'm sure you'll find a bunch of stuff.
