It was leaked almost a year ago, but today was its official release.
http://videos.onsmash.com/v/lLwWfTcNIBGIEzBE I'd say it counts as anime, given it's animated and was directed by famed Japanese designer Takahashi Murakami. And while I'm a Kanye fan, this is definitely a case where the video is better than the song. The CG visuals are far from cutting edge, but they're beautiful. The movement has a great energy to it. And I'm glad Takahashi Murakami's designs weren't limited to cover art (especially given how small cover art is on CDs compared to the old days when it was really showcased on LP covers). |

The video itself is actually pretty cool.
I too am a Kanye fan. I don't know if it beats his Stronger "Akira-based" video though... |

I presume that Murakami got paid, along with any others involved in making the video itself.
That is the only positive thing I can say about this. |

I found Graduation to be the weakest of Kanye's albums but I really liked this video. I couldn't stop smiling the whole time from start to finish. This definitely reassures me of my choice for a forum avatar.
![]() If you want the Takahashi Murakami artwork on a big album cover they still sell a lot of new music on LPs. |
