I wasn't quite sure if this would be anime news worthy since this doesn't have Japanese productions ... but I'll just post this here if any others are interested. Anime wise, it is more akin to Avatar: The Last Airbender than an actual anime. I thought this would be relevant since Pacific Rim got an an anime but that has an actual Japanese production company behind it (Polygon Pictures).
Valve's popular RTS (real time strategy) game, DOTA2, will be getting a Netflix original 'anime'. It is set to premiere March 25th. February 16th announcement. Teaser. Trailer. A synopsis of the show:
Noteable English cast members include: Yuri Lowenthal as Davion Josh Keaton as Bram Tony Todd as Slyrak the Ember Eldwurm Troy Baker as Invoker Additionally, the show will be voiced in 12 languages, Japanese one of them, and subtitled in 30 Here is the Japanese dubbed trailer. I've been burnt out of anime for a while so I cannot recognize any of these voices. People say they recognize Davion as Daisuke Ono but I don't quite hear it. Studio MIR (The Legend of Korra, Voltron: Legendary Defender) will be animating the series. Source. |
