With CN/AS raving how grate FLCL is and how much they seem to promote
it, kinda makes you wonder if we will hear a annoucement of a possible TV series. Also found it interesting that Production IG/Tmobile/Sidekick comercials was premiered with FLCL... hmmmm
discuss!

I think they're doing it more to show what Production IG is capable of so when IGPX comes out they'll have a solid production name backing it. Or atleast, this would make sence if the rummors surounding IGPX are true.

its true according to Animation Insider. One thing though, IGPX and the T-Mobile commercial are two different things. the only thing they have similar is that both are animated by Production IG
as for FLCL the tv series, i dont think so. Williams Street are fans of the show, and like most fans know, it will be hard, or even impossible to create more FLCL

Uh, I never said they were. What I said was that they are showing the Sidekick promo with FLCL so that when IGPX comes out people can associate Production IG with something other than IGPX. It'll give IGPX more clout as a legitamate anime because people are going to recognize the company behind it as doing more than just this one show.

Quit knocking Big-O just because you arent capable of understanding it. There are plenty of people who like it.

umm.. he wasn't knocking Big O, he is comparing how Big O only ended with 13 episodes and CN loved it that they got Bandai/sunrise/etc to do more .. tho it was 2-3 years later.. heheh
I dunno, FLCL had some success in JP, just like Big O but I would not be surpsied if there might be a hint of a tv series.. there is a alot of back story that can be used with FLCL..
Hmmmmm

If FLCL proves to be popular enough then CN may start asking Gainax to do more, this of course in no way guarentees more will be made (take Cowboy Bebop for example), however it does present the possibility. This is of course, if its popular enough for CN to throw the money in that direction...though all things considered I find it unlikely Gainax would make more. Now if only they'd start throwing cash around for a second season of Trigun (an all too real possibility as the manga is still going, even if it's at a snail's pace).

It is not really a gainax anime per say, it is both IG and Gainax. IG handles the distrobution (sp) outside of Japan, Gainax does the promotion/production.
But who knows.. those AS place card thingys do make you wonder. I was stoaked that they mention The Pillows!

Er...the only reason a second season of Big O was made was because it was ORIGINALLY MEANT to have two seasons. Big O didn't do very well in Japan and they ran out of funding so they couldn't make season 2. After seeing its success here in the states Cartoon Network decided to co-fund the production of season 2. FLCL on the other hand is done and over with. Besides, the series is great as is, I see no reason to risk ruining it.
Also, Cartoon Network has already tried to get a couple of other companies to continue their anime series and got...uh...bad results.

I think Flcl is good as it is, it definitley has replay value and I really do think a tv series would never be up to par with the quality of the oav. Best not to ruin whats already great.

i say just leave it the way it is. milking it is just going to ruin the integrity of the series.

What? When did I ever say anything bad about Big O? Maybe you should read a little closer before you start jumping all over people, pal.
....
Anyway, CN seems to be happy with the 6 episodes of of FLCL so who's to say if they had more done for CN it would have to be a full TV series, why not just another 6 or so episodes? What they could do is simmilar to what they did with Big O. They could have the new episodes made, let Japan have the first rights to them as OAVs and then have them brought over for broadcast. It would take some time, but good things are worth waiting for.
