And how many people cancelled after one month? Most people watch what they want until the month is over and then they are done.
Those new viewers updates are pretty much worthless. |

Officially, all three earmarked big shows to take over for Stranger Things, One Piece, The Three-Body Problem, and Avatar the Last Airbender, are all considered big hits by Netflix. So it's not too big a surprise that with shows like that and The Gentlemen, that the subscribers have been rising lately.

Ask yourself this.
If the company is so confidant that the password sharing did not harm subscrier count than why will they still stop reporting the number after 2025? answer: cause they know it will probably reach its peak around that time and will either remain stagnant or dwindle over time, even if u stop password sharing there is still a finite market. |

I doubt it is most at this point. I'm sure the number of people who do that has been increasing as more companies split off into their own platform and more companies raise the price of subscriptions. I expect a lot of people are too lazy and/or bad with money. I do exactly what you're saying. Permanent sub to Prime (mostly for delivery) and Crunchy which I consistently watch a lot. Everything else I will grab for a month to binge what I want then cancel. |

I stopped my subscription as soon as they announce one piece. I'm very happy I made that decision as soon as they tried their hands at live anime adaptations that's when netflix died.
Bye netflix for giving me generic live action viewings of cowboy bebop, Yasuke (it's an anime do not watch btw), one piece, fma and death note |

I'm glad that it hasn't been implemented where I live yet. I'm not signing up to watch a little Anime. Most films on there I can watch elsewhere, and I've no interest in their original titles.

A lot of people are saying that Netflix no longer sharing subscriber numbers is a sign of their demise; I think the likelier and less boring option is that Netflix realized they've hit their ceiling.
Since Nielsen started tracking viewership share in March 2021 (which they call "The Gauge"), Netflix has never passed 9% of total viewership (usually hovering around 8%) and as of late, they're getting regularly beaten by YouTube . Furthermore, traditional TV (i.e. broadcast & cable) have had larger viewership than all other forms of consumption put together every month except for July 2023 when they "only" had 49.6%. Where they are is pretty much where they're going to be. |

Good riddance, and good bye to ONE Netflix user "soul_punisher", and welcome to 9 MILLION new subscribers. Hope they give OPLA a chance. Anyways, I'm not subscribed currently btw, lol. But I planned to subscribe on a month where OPLA S2 and THE ONE PIECE anime remake dropped, then cancel whenever I finished them. I'm aware I'm just one user, but hey, at least I tried to avoid my favorite Netflix shows getting cancelled before it reaches the peak of the story. |

So with this reasoning if an anime studio makes a generic/awful adaptation or original production you’re going to quit watching anime altogether? |
