I got the MIB II DVD and I watched it before and it was pretty funny. Lots of culture ref.

The only two shorts that I saw were Chub Chubs and Mike's new car... of the two I honestly felt that Chub Chubs was much better.
Mikes new car was fun to watch, it was funny and what not... but not particularly clever, more of a slapstick kind of humour. Chub Chubs on the other hand seemed quite clever to me, and the various references were very enjoyable. |

I only saw a 30-second clip of Mt. Head, but I liked it. I like the animation, and the color design.
Of the nominated shorts, I'd have picked the German stop-motion film Das Rad: it looked absolutely wonderful, with a pitch-perfect combination of CGI effects and stop-motion characters. The Chubb-Chubbs was second on my list, so I'm perfectly happy with it winning. Now then, Eric Armstrong... how's about making that there AstroBoy CGI film with Sony, hmm? |
