Chances are, this getting a dub was probably Hanabee's doing. |

And yet Dog and Scissors got licensed by the much bigger Madman, and Sentai still didn't dub it. In fact, several Sentai titles from around the same time have been licensed down under by Madman, yet the likes of The Severing Crime Edge and Fantasista Doll got thrown in the sub-only bin. Hell, Hanabee hasn't even been a strictly bilingual-only company - several NIS and Aniplex titles can attest to that. International licensing doesn't always ensure the production of a dub. Since I haven't actually seen Amnesia, I can't really comment on this outside of the curiosity that while Dog and Scissors didn't exactly get glowing reviews (though I enjoyed that for what it was), I've seen more hate towards Amnesia, yet former doesn't even get a Blu-Ray while an even less liked show gets a full release, dub, HD, and all. |

The game is coming out in the US, was mostly the reason why they did it (Aksys is putting it) Aksys also put out the Hakuōki games, and Sentai put out the dub of that around the time the games where out. I think the games coming out sort of had an influence on their choice. |

For me is a surprise to see the anime with a dub, I mean, is not as popular as other animes

I just remember Maggie as Rachel from Red Garden and how she was constantly screaming like a banshee (although to be fair Steven Foster apparently made everyone scream in that show)

Oh my God, they're actually gonna dub this piece of crap? I thought it would just one of those Sentai shows where they just sub it, but I guess I underestimate the selling power of reverse harem.

These are the people that dubbed Arcana Famiglia, so I guess this shouldn't be too surprising.

Probably to appeal to their female fans who may like bishounen stuff. Equal representation and all that. Still a terrible show though... Unfortunately, slice-of-life tends to get put to the side... |
