I would love to read people's opinions about the ending of Neon Genesis Evangelion. I was kept extremely puzzled.

As you'll most likely be told, or have been told, this site pretty much requires your opinion on things.
Like your first post in the topic, you'll need to say why you were puzzled...and pretty much whatever else you can think of. They don't like a bunch of one line posts. With that outta the way, I agree. The ending, TV and EoE, kept me wondering. I still don't quite know if I like the anime or not. I think the biggest problem was that everyone says "it concluded the stories about the characters, mostly shinji" etc etc. Thing is, I never really liked Shinji or the characters that much. I was into the plot and the mystery of it all and since most of the religion was basically fluff to "distinguish" the show, none of it was resolved and I was annoyed. I think that's what got me the most. The plot was never fully resolved, the story about the angels/evas etc, and that's what I was looking for. I thought both endings were cool and IF more could've been said, I would've been happier. Nothing much was explained during the series, i.e. some quick background info on the religious parts, and nothing was fully realized about them either. Oh well. |

Another way to read our opinions, if that's what you want to do, is to use the Forum Search and look for things like "Evangelion Ending" -- you'll probably get lots of useful results.
