It has been shown theatrically in the U.S. before, once for a children's charity in N.Y., another time at the 2000 AFI, and-according to someone in the line for the Hollywood Spirited Away premiere-a few times in the Midwest.

Thanks for pointing out the error. Indeed, I meant that people shouldn't expect to see it on a few hundred screens in 2003.
