Okay, so I've seen the first few episodes of PPGZ from CN Philippines, so I can form a solid opinion about it.
Buttercup is voiced by Kelly Metzger. It fits her well, but eh, I don't really like it. All she does is yell and growl alot.
Blossom is voiced by Nicole Bouma. Easily the worst of the girls. The tone of her voice constantly fluctuates from low to high. It's very annoying.
Bubbles is voiced by Maryke Hendrikse. Very good voice. Not annoying at all.
Ken is voiced by Cathy Weseluck. Too girly for my tastes, but it works.
Peach is voiced by Matt Hill. His name is changed to Poochi. Sounds nothing like the JP. Here, he just talks normally.
Professor Utonium is voiced by Louis Chirillo. Not too good. He just sounds like some random nerd.
The Mayor is voiced by Alec Willows. Again, nothing like the JP, but a spot on match for the original Mayor. Which I suppose was what they were going for.
Ms. Bellum is voiced by Nicloe Oliver. Excellent. Completely makes up for role in the hackdub Cardcaptors.
Mojo is voiced by Michael Dobson. Like the original, has a fake Japanese accent and talks redundantly. Very funny voice, though nothing like the JP.
Princess is voiced by Kelly Sheridan. Freaking hilarious! You have GOT to hear it!
Opening is replaced with rock montage of fighting scenes. Japanese opening used as ending. (WTF?)
EDIT: also, Tokyo City is changed to New Townsville.
Background music replaced with louder, more pronounced tunes. Sound effects everywhere (and I do mean EVERYWHERE).
The girls names, Miyako, Kaoru, and Momoko are dropped. The titles, "Powered Buttercup," "Hyper Blossom," and "Rolling Bubbles" are also removed. The script just calls the girls Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup all the time. This is going to fudge up the plots of alot of episodes later on. Also, all attack names are gone as well.
All in all, disappointing. If they had left in the music and SFX, I could have enjoyed it. As it is, I think I'll pass when it comes to the states.

When you think about it, there's something a bit bizarre about creating an English dub of a Japanese animated series based on the Japanese popularity of an American animated series that contained homages to Japanese animated series that were originally homages of American animated series, isn't there?

I can't believe this piece of crap actually got picked up by anyone. Let alone got a dub.

Cartoon Network was directly involved, I'm surprised it didn't happen earlier so they could wring some more money out of the project. I may need to look into snagging the DVDs if they happen.

Why wouldn't they use the original cast? Oh, well. The show's total crap anyway, and if there's no chance of Cavadini, Strong, and Daily returning then I don't have to bother giving it another chance.
