I’m glad I backed this been wanting an animated critical role show for so long. Also I’m still shocked that in two days over 5 million dollars has been raised the critical role community is awesome for helping fund this.

Congrats to them. I always see staff mentioning that a 12 episode anime cost around $2-3M to produce. In a very short amount of time they nearly earned enough to make two cours.

Anime is very cheap to make, Americana and Canadian animation costs a lot more, so you would be looking at a few episodes.

OMG, I'm so excited! I've gotten behind with the most recent campaign that I've been out of the loop on this. I'm gonna check out the Kickstarter and throw some additional money on this. I really want to see Vex and Vax animated!

Now I see why these actors abandoned the anime dubbing industry. Video games and it's communities are where the dosh is these days

A lot of them still voice anime (most notably Mercer). Hell, Laura Bailey is coming back for the new Fruits Basket anime.

Reprising old roles isn't really the same as actively accepting new roles though. The only new anime role Laura Bailey had for the past 5 years has been in the Netflix dub "Glitter Force".

They really deserve all of the attention they're getting from this Kickstarter. They put together a 4~ hour episode every week with very few breaks over the past 5 years and there's never been a dull moment. I first started watching around episode 2 or 3 and never imagined I'd be hooked on watching people play D&D so many years later. All the credit in the world to Matt for his tireless work writing the campaigns, building the world, bringing characters to life with his amazing voice talents, painting the minis, building the maps, and being quick witted enough to change things on the fly when stuff starts to go off the rails. I haven't joined the Kickstarter yet, but I will be by the end of the month.

I don't follow "Critical Role" but well done for them to find the time to keep doing this for so long, especially considering how busy they are with family and other acting gigs.
With over 40 days left, I don't know what the final funded amount will be. However, given the popularity of "Critical Role", something tells me that it will low 9-digits easily.
