We are so back! I'm so hyped for this and the timing of the announcment was just perfect since I just rewatched the 2 compilation films, like literally I saw my MAL notification of the season 2 just right after I rewatched the two movies.

It's a bit a shame though that Saitou Keichirou will not be directing the second season but at least his assistant from season 1 will be the one replacing him.

But other than that, more Bocchi The Rock! is always a good thing.

I'd imagine Keiichirou Saitou is busy with the eventual Frieren S2. But hey, if the new director worked on Bocchi and that Oshi no Ko S1 OP before, I think we're in good hands.

Was worried when I saw "new director" in the headline, but reading that its the episode director should mean this will be in good hands.

Hyped!

Good news, I wonder if this second season will receive a simuldub, considering that Crunchyroll dubbed Bocchi the Rock! into Neutral Spanish and Portuguese back in October last year. Bocchi hasn't been dubbed into English, right?

There's pretty much no hope for it since they released Bocchi without an English dub on home video a while back… so dumb…

It would be more precise to write that he was the Assistant Director of season one and not just a "random" Episode Director. That clearly makes the change sound less "bad" than ANN makes it look for now.

I mean the anime itself is already huge hit, with its popularity i think its time for Crunchyroll to dub it in english

Yep, same, on both accounts. Can't wait!

Unlikely, but not impossible. Emma: A Victorian Romance is an example I can think of off the top of my head where a dub was made many years later.
