WTF happened to MonkeyDLuffy4's thread, it was good and he didn't even get to post the results of Takumi vs. Speed Racer
anyone else feel the same way?
BTW have you ever thought about Kasumi from Ranma1/2 vs. Tea (Yu Gi Oh)
or Happosai aka Happy vs. Sugaroku Mutou aka Grandpa from Yu Gi Oh
or what about Ranma and Ryoga vs. Yugi and Joey in an Anything Goes Martial Arts Tag Team Duel Monsters Game

I'd just like to post the results for the Speed Racer vs. Takumi fight.
3 to 0 Takumi Fujiwara wins! I guess even the mighty power of spork couldn't save Speed Racer this time.
Ah, well. Rest In Peace, my dear, beloved, departed thread. I'll always miss the fun times and funny fights we had!
Anime Deathmatch will live on forever in our hearts! Sieg Luffy! (jk, I don't want to start a Luffy cult. although if there was one, I'd be first to join0_o)
~Ore wa Monkey D. Luffy! Kaizoku-oh ni naru otokko!~

I think it is stupid to use this sort of web censorship. I thought this was an open forum?

this is not an open forum. this is a dictatorship.. a benevolent one, but a dictatorship nonetheless. you can't change the rules, nor can you de-moderate someone, unlock or lock threads by consensus of the masses or any other means.
welcome to the internet -- very few websites are operated in a 'democratic' fashion. Power belongs to the few, not to the many.
.. but as I said, we're a BENEVOLENT dictatorship; provided that things are handled in a mature fashion, rare is it that the dictator (the moderator) needs to step in and do things.
so, that being said...
while technically not off-topic, the three threads were not contributing to the intellectual atmosphere of the forum. in fact, none of the posts really went into any sort of detail as to WHY the poster throught the way they did -- even the best posts in the "death match" thread were merely played-out fights, rather than an analysis of WHY one character would have an edge over the other.
had the "death match" thread compared and contrasted the characters, rather than saying things like "though i think spike is coolre [sic], i think inuyasha would win, being half-demon and all."
No one's been banned, no one's been squelched. However, this thread IS being locked as it's irrelevant.
If you don't like it, take it up with me in private.
