posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
The media distribution service Crunchyroll announced on Wednesday that it will stream Senyū. Dai 2 Ki, the second season of the Senyū. television anime series. Crunchyroll will stream the sequel starting on Tuesday, July 2 at 1:00 p.m. EDT for premium users. Free users can watch the show a week later. Crunchyroll will stream the series for premium users worldwide outside of Japan, and for free users worldwide outside of Asia.
Both anime seasons adapt Robinson Haruhara's original manga. In the manga, a gigantic hole suddenly opened up in the world one day, and demons appeared. The king thinks that this portends the return of Satan Rchimedes, who was sealed away by the hero Creation a millenium ago. The king decreed that the descendants of the hero must take on the threat, and 75 people showed up. Hero No. 45 (Alba, played by Hiro Shimono) and a sadistic palace warrior (Ross, played by Yūichi Nakamura) team up, and their adventure begins.
Yutaka Yamamoto (Kannagi, Fractale, episodes of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Lucky Star) is directing the series at his Ordet studio and LIDEN FILMS. Michiko Yokote (Genshiken, Squid Girl, xxxHOLiC) is in charge of the series scripts, and Ushio Tazawa (The Place Promised in Our Early Days, The Telepathy Girl Ran) is designing the characters.
The first season premiered on January 8, and Crunchyroll streamed it into several countries as it aired.
