Japanese pop icon Kumi Koda releases best-of album ‘LIVE IN METAVERSE ~THE BEST~’, marking her 25th anniversary with a virtual concert set in 2093!

Currently celebrating the 25th anniversary of her debut, Japanese pop icon Kumi Koda released a new best-of album today, March 26, titled ‘LIVE IN METAVERSE ~THE BEST~’.

This unusual hits collection is based on the concept of a “future best-of concert” to be held on December 6, 2093. Unlike a conventional best-of album, this special collection recreates the feel of a live concert, immersing listeners in the vibe of the venue and the cheers of the audience.

This is truly an album made together with the fans: It features 28 songs selected by fan club members to commemorate Koda's special 25th anniversary year, including the full version of new song ‘UNICORN’ and the first CD release of ‘BLACK WINGS’.

In addition, the limited edition version available from mu-mo shop and to fan club members includes the latest collection in the popular remix series ‘Driving Hit's 10’ as a third disc, allowing fans to enjoy Koda's classic songs reborn with all-new arrangements.

The DVD and Blu-ray also feature a selection of live performances of songs from the best-of album, making for a cool live video collection. This extra-special set is packed to bursting with Koda's most stunning live performances.
