Just finihsed the last episode, was sad that one my favorite music anime in the current decade ended and then saw this announcement a minute later Smile
I was already fond of MyGo but Ave Mujica gave me more emotions.

Haven't even watched the last episode yet, but I am happy. The real question is: Where will it all go from here?

I hope MyGO!!!!! gets at least equal time with Ave Mujica in Season 3 - I like both the girls and the music of the former better.

I won't be watching the last episode for a few hours, but great (and very welcome) news.

Enjoyed the hell out of this season. Of course, that may make me a horrible person, what with all the melodrama, angst and suffering and what not. But that's my burden to bear and I accept it.

Guess I'll be the first one to say that I'm really not looking forward to another season of this mess. The entire drama throughout those two season felt incredibly forced and artificial, the whole idea of disbanding the bands makes absolutely no sense in the context of the actual bands behind this. And then there is this whole mental health issue part that is completely weird. There is no way there isn't at least one adult around them who would get concerned if they were pulling this stuff. Go see a doctor.

I hope this will be the last season of this or at least go back to the original formula, I enjoyed watching the more comedy-centered original BanG Dream seasons. But now I'm just suffering through them, hoping they will finally end...

You're not the only one. It's been a thrill ride.

I think you underestimate how atomized our societies have become, and how bad with understanding on mental health Japanese society is. Think we have it bad here? We do. But there, it's worse.

This to say nothing about the basis behind psychology in Japan. One of the most common therapeutics recommended for depressed people is simply lying in a room, doing nothing. Why? Because depression is primarily seen as the result of exhaustion.

In fact, depression was not widely recognised in Japan as a thing until the late 1990s.

Try to get help in that!

As a certified freak, I just hope they keep ramping it up, Fast and Furious style. Have them fight an evil band, make more telenovela level lost relative reveals, more post-it notes! Have MyGo and Ave Mujica join force and rebrand under their true name, ANON TOKYO.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't at all disappointed by this news. I’ll watch it dutifully, cringing the whole time, as I did this season. I’m really not a fan of Ave Mujica though, personally. Give us a Morfonica season. Or another RAS or MyGO season. Hell, I’d take an Afterglow or Pastel*Palettes -centric season over another Ave Mujica (though at this point in the franchise’s life cycle, that level of love towards the non-live bands seems to be completely out of the question).

The original (now archaic) meaning of melodrama is speech (drama) backed by music (melos), which we have had plenty of from MyGO!!!!! and Ave Mujica.

What evil band is there to fight - Poppin'Party or maybe Hello, Happy World!? Razz

ANON TOKYO? Has a certain pink-hair girl gained mind-control powers?

You are making the girls from Roselia and Hello, Happy World! feel left out.

Honestly, the only logical telenovela plot point I can imagine is anything regarding tspoiler[the actual Uika and Hatsune].

I get that not everyone is metalhead but Ave Mujica is one of the best bands in franchise music vise (and they and RaS are probabvly the only ones there all girls have good musical skill).

But anyway, back on topic. A sequel is a great news. Hope they will adress some of the points left hanging this season and won't just move on to anything else in it.

As someone who grew up on Within Temptation, Evanescence and Moonspell, I have a thing for the dramatic and gothic kind of metal. Ave Mujica, while being rather different from each of these (specially Moonspell), kinda fits the same headspace for me. The fact that, in its fictional version, the music is made by messed-up people adds charm.

I liked this series a lot.
Definitely the most interesting Bang Dream series with all the drama.
