When I first saw this series, I thought it was going to be another "Gotta catch'em all" story. Boy was I wrong!!! I'm with you - can't wait until the next volume!!!

Oh gosh darn it. I'd convinced myself to only collect xxxHolic and wait on Tsubasa until later (or even just read whatever my library has of it), and now this review is making me want to check out this series, too. Laughing

I would recomend working on both xxHolic and Tsubasa at the same time. as the plot goes on they become more intertwined. You'd loose out on some of the fun if you read all of xxxholic and then read tsubasa later.

The first half of the series, while fun, was not my thing. Now that I've read the second half I need to start catching up with both xXxHolic and Tsubasa - and normally my limit is 10-volume series. Very Happy

CLAMP once again proves that they know how to write a damn good story.

As it turns out, the particulars of Fai's past—carefully kept vague for so long—are suddenly thrust into the spotlight, revealing a destiny that will leave readers just as slack-jawed and wide-eyed as Fai himself.

Tokyo, Infinity and Celes are definitely the best arcs in Tsubasa, IMO. It’s such a pity that Infinity and Celes are not going to be animated.

And to think that had it not been for the real Syaoran, Fay might have not had a past like this. Yes, I derive pleasure from blaming him.

It’s also shows one of the reasons why Fay&Chi is unrealistic as it’s safe to assume that Chi probably disintegrated.

It depends on how much one likes Syaoran and Sakura and how much one doesn’t care about a contrived plot.

Man, this volume left me confused. I'm still a little confused on all that happened. Maybe volume 20 can help me out more. This series sure has some crazy and awesome plot twists, doesn't it?

Maybe I should get on the Tsubasa train (or is that plane?), seems it's a popular series.

From the Tokyo arc onward it's like reading a different manga entirely - much darker, bleaker, and more violent in comparison to the previous arcs. Very little humor and a more serious tone too - I found it a little creepy actually.

According to this news item there will be more OVAs released in February. I can't imagine they could skip over Ininity, Celes, and Nihon, so I think there's hope yet that these stories will be animated.[/url]

I have just one word for the end of this volume...

Cripes.

*Bows to Fai in acknowledgment of his dethroning Subaru as King of Angst*

Once I stopped sitting in shock for a good 5 to 10 minutes, these were my thoughts after processing what had happened. spoiler[How messed up must Fai be right now? I don't even want to think about how he's feeling considering he adores that girl and already quietly suffered bouts of depression even before Acid Tokyo. Brilliant move on Sakura's part, negating the curse and suspending herself in the dreamworld to try to help Fai in one shot, but dang, what a horrible thing to do to him! Hopefully some of what she had time to say to him got through and was enough to keep him from cutting his wrists open right there.

At least Kurogane seems to have it together. I got the impression from the way he yelled to Fai not to remove the sword (which might cause more damage) that he figured out very quickly that Fai hadn't done what he'd done intentionally. Good, smart man - he's really been a rock the last few volumes.

Sakura certainly seems to have her work cut out for her considering all of Fai's problems. Ashura's probably going to be up next volume, but from what she told Watanuki in Holic, it seems to be the clone she's most worried about (coming back for eye seconds?). What a mess! ]

Judging from the picture on kodansha's page I think Nihon arc is going to be animated.
