Who here thinks the Taiwanese drama had something to do with this, a la Hana Yori Dango and Hanazakarino Kimitachie? *raises hand*

Well the Hana Yori Dango anime predates the taiwanese drama but I agree. The taiwanese versions of Japanese manga's seems to spark interest. Especially when you consider that It started with a kiss is the 3rd most popular taiwanese drama ever and the sequal is popular too.
I am looking forward to this however since the manga is unfinished I wonder how this will work.

I think minakichan's referring to how HYD and Hana-Kimi got J-doramas after the Taiwanese dramas became popular despite the manga series being over for a while already.

The manga's pretty long, so it's always possible that the anime might not cover the whole story. Then the lack of an ending wouldn't really matter.

I am SO excited about this! Itazura na Kiss is one of my favorite series! I love the manga so much. I have been hoping that it would experience the Taiwan-drama effect like HYD and HanaKimi. I figured either a new drama or an anime would be made, most likely an anime, since they already had a Japanese drama version years ago. Anyway, SO EXCITED Very Happy
