We were all expecting it but it's nice to get a confirmation.

I've enjoyed the remake. It does some things better than the original and some things worse but overall I'm excited to see how they handle Kyoto.

Awesome

This season is bound to go gang busters.

Guaranteed Jinchu arc.

I would imagine they are going for a full adaptation since the manga ended decades ago and they wouldn't re-boot a series and leave it halfway through.

Yeah, they’re probably aiming for a three season adaption (like Fruits Basket).

They will likely insert Master of Flame into S2 in the same the truly pointless Act 0 was expanded into S1. 6 volumes of Tokyo, 1 of Kyoto and 45 pages of Act 0 were made into S1. 11 more and the possibility of 1 more for Master of Flame would lead to a 36 order. Liden´s streak of coherently paced but cost-effectively animated adaptations might continue. It would have been nice if the effort was made with another manga but they wanted to make this their JoJo with the hope of going the distance into the less-than-ideal Hokkaido sequel. Even if the foreign market is all but dead to them.

Maybe they could add it in as part of Hoji's decision at the end of the arc.

How did the same people go from foaming at the mouth screaming for this series to be boycotted/canceled/whatever to lavishly singing its praises?

They could also adapt the other oneshot that was never collected: Kenshin's first time wielding the sakabato.

I'm excited but I hope they increase the production quality. Season 1 was mostly good but at times looked cheap and the OST didn't have much impact like the 1996 series.

Are they the same people or are you conflating them?

Well while this site's staff actively ignore it, the recent poll they did about the author, around 70% either didn't care or are over it, so its an extremely vocal minority, probably the same babies that made the S2 of Jobless Reincarnate around 1000 posts. Also Chris McDonald has also posted in a previous RK thread that he is tired of it always derailing and directed for a specific forum for people to complain as every RK article ALWAYS got derailed in the comments by puritans complaining.

A lot of people still hold the show in high regard and its had live action movies and other adaptations consistently so its always had a presence. It just seemed like with a new complete anime, which was likely going to be a big success, people complained about the author getting more money after he already paid his fine.

Lets be honest, no amount of boycotting was going to stop this thing from succeeding. One of the top 3 from Jump's golden age? yeah never happening.
