Looking forward to this, seems a lot more action based too. I will miss Senjogahara though since Araragi didn't meet her till after this.

Well, good. Bakemonogatari was a great Anime, and I've always wanted to watch the backstory to it. There were clues, hints, allusions, small clips and whatnot in the Anime, but that just made me want to watch a dedicated prequel more.

No Hitagi will be a shame, but increased Tsubasa should hopefully cancel it out.

^ More Neko - yes, please. Though she'll have a lot to make up for - Hitagi, Kanbaru and Nadeko. On the plus side, we get Aya Hirano, at least hopefully.

They'll have to do the sequel, too. Is it Shaft again though?..

If the flyer mentioned in the news story is anything to go by, yes.

Shaft are doing this one (the prequel), probably because of their track record with Bakemonogatari. Despite there being unfinished episodes, the sales were simply humongous. Whether or not they do the sequel all depends on how this prequel turns out, and what the sales are like.

Yeah. Despite the thing with the web episodes, Shaft is the only studio that could really make Bakemonogatari work.

I guess it would be asking too much that this be finished by say, a minute from now, so I could start watching it instantly? Absolutely awesome news.

Argh! License Bakemonogatari, damn you! *smashes head into keyboard with impotent rage*

Fantastic news to read first thing in the morning. It did seem likely, given the series' success, but still.

And, Blood-, remember that if it's Shaft, that one minute will inevitably be delayed to a good four or five minutes. Very Happy

if the timing for the events is how i remember it, she is not a cat yet. Kizu takes place during Spring Break and Tsubasa was possessed during Golden Week.

next comes Nisemonogatari
