To the best of my knowledge, no one has been scolded by the moderators for merely sharing an opinion. That is what the forums are for. The manner in which that opinion is shared is a different story. Being excessively combative, engaging in personal attacks, soapboxing, or otherwise breaking forums rules, yeah, that can get you scolded. And of course, once you share an opinion, others are well within their rights to disagree with you. For discussion purposes, it would help if you could provide some reasons why you dislike Ranma 1/2. I realize personal likes and dislikes can be hard to articulate at times but you used the word "despise" which usually goes beyond simple dislike. Personally, I think the first season was great and the second season was very uneven. It became overly long and repetitious with brief arcs of comedic genius. Many of the alternate forms of martial arts were more silly than funny and Happosai was always a detriment. |

I've shared this elsewhere, but my hottest take is that the people responding to complaints about sexism in shounen battle anime by saying "just watch magical girl anime" are nowhere near as annoying as the people who reply to that along the lines of "miss me with that stupid girly crap."
