Isn't this more of a reboot / alternate re-telling than a sequel?

As someone who obsessively read this manga almost a decade ago, this is the LAST thing I expected to see while just habitually glancing at ANN. I've certainly grown away from harem/ecchi series since then but I've always had a lingering fondness for the characters and art in Ichigo 100%. It's one of those things I liked when I was younger that I now can tell is cliche and silly, but that I can't bring myself to dislike. I felt like the ending tied things together as nice as it could have all things considered, so I hope this doesn't suck.

Exact same situation as me. Smile

Okay, what's there to continue? MJ got his dream job and dream girl... so will this sequel focus on MJ's movie-making with his collaborations with TA? I am really satisfied with how it ended... I hope this won't ruin the legacy of one of the best harem/ecchi manga last decade.

Is anyone else expecting another Ichigo 100% style ending? The ending of the original really turned a lot of heads back in 2005 because they thought another girl was more deserving than what we got. It became a thing to compare endings of future harem series to this because of the ending.

They actually picked a girl and it was best girl. The other chick was used solely for fanservice.

This is the first manga I really loved when I first got into manga way back in 2010. Yes its harem element is a bit silly because this one guy would never get that many girls to choose from in real life.

On the other hand, everything else was great. The art was fine, and the depiction of the girls was its triumph, and the overall storyline was a favorite of every generation: Young people struggling hard to figure out how to realize their ambitions (even what ambitions to have!) and who to love.

That fundamental storyline was presented well, and the characters were very earnest about choosing the right thing/person. I still have vivid mental pictures of all the girls and quite a few favorite scenes.

Probably will be 16-17 years latter and its about his kid getting a new harem.

This was probably one of the last things I would've expected to see get a sequel. I'm not sure how I feel about this at all, but it was a well put together harem romance manga that I honestly enjoyed throughout. Despite the ending girl being what I wanted as a fan, the ending was still one of the best one could hope for from this type of manga and story.

I purchased 2 volumes. Found out VIZ never finished it and prompty stopped buying it. I will never understand why they stop a series mid run.

I pray this news drives interest enough for Viz to finish publishing the final few volumes of the original.

Just put them out as an omnibus. Raise the price if you have to! C'mon!
