"Ubisoft has inadvertently leaked dozens of images from upcoming games, some of which were unannounced until now. It was quickly taken down but the damage has already been done. With Tokyo Game Show happening as we speak it is up in the air whether Ubisoft was planning on releasing this information soon. Regardless, it is interesting to see the work they've been doing on these next generation games, particularly the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 screens. I personally wish that there was more stuff leaked for the Nintendo Wii considering Ubisoft is said to have 7 titles ready for launch."
Good stuff

i agree. it looks more like a painting than a high powered polygonic image. but that be be what ubisoft was trying to accomplish. have something with a good amount of detail, but still looked like it was part of an anime. if they were, they may have accomplished what cel-shading could not.

You make it sound like a bad thing. We have people like fat*** Ebert saying that games isn't art. I can't really see the image that well, but I hope they keep working at it.

It's an artwork, not a screen shot. There were no screen shots of Naruto 360 in UbiSoft's leaked file.

I disagree, if it does end up looking like a moving painting, and the frame rate holds up, I think that would look pretty badass.
I mean you don't want it to look like a filler episode do you. Anime for the sake of anime.

I forget which system but one of them had the Naruto that was all Poly-looking, like CGI, and that really annoyed me. Anime games shouldn't look realistic, they should all look like anime (like Gekitaisen). That screenshot looks interesting so far, I'd like to see more.

The game won't be cel-shaded?

DREAM KILLER! DIE!!! If the game does look like that, like Dargonxtc said, I might just buy a 360. But then again, I didn't say it was or wasn't a screenshot. It is a very nice *Drum Roll* concept art.
I never heard of Xomba, but I did heard from a number of sites that, to include GameSpot and Jostiq, said that screenshots and concept art for a number of games, to include Naruto 360, was with the file.

i never said that it was a bad thing. i should have said i agree that it looks crappy, for a screenshot. it it is a concept art, i would look at it depending on what kind of game it was.

ugg I hope not, if they are trying to keep the look of the anime that would be a bad move. I've yet to see a cell shaded game baised off a show that actually LOOKED like the animation show. Not that cell shading doesn't look nice on some games (sly cooper comes to mind).

I can't agree with that. I think that the Naruto Gekitaisen characters look very much like their anime counterparts, as well as the characters in the FMA games. They might not look exact, and it certainly doesn't confuse anyone as to whether they're seeing CG or hand-drawn animation, but that's not the point, they do look much more SIMILAR to the anime version than if they were realistic and fully rendered.

Hmm, I'm not a big fan of this "screen shot" and I do agree that this does look like a painting of some sort. It'd be nice to have better and more screen shots.
