My comic book store received the final volume of 'Hanako and the Terror of Allegory' today.

According to the store owner several Tokyopop titles arrived this week from the Diamond Comic Distributor. Don't know if this was a local fluke, or done nationwide. The manga was gone as soon as it arrived, lucky for me the store owner knew I wanted Hanako.

This probably was stock that Diamond has had, since Tokyopop has been closed since the end of May. I had given up on ever getting it, and strangely enough was thinking about it this morning; and no one believes in the subconscious powers of the mind.

Hoping some of you get lucky today, also.

Haha, I picked that up too, along with Fate/Stay Night volume 11 and Deadman Wonderland 5.

I think because Tokyopop said they'd go out of business by the end of April, we all assumed that nothing was going to come out. In actuality Tokyopop talked about working in advanced on manga releases, hence they were probably in the printing phases in March/April for May releases.

The reason why we are seeing a little resurgence is probably because they've now got this stack of May releases and since they have to get rid of them, might as well send them out to diamond to distribute, make a few bucks and give some fans a final gift before departure. Then again I might be speaking too nicely for them.

Diamond may have been sitting on these releases for a couple of weeks. They tended to ship most of TokyoPops titles on the first Wednesday of the the month.

Yeah, the manga bloggers are saying the May 4th releases are starting to come out from Diamond now. May 4th was the last release that TP did.

So things from May 31st, like Maidsama 9 and Hetalia 3 did not make the cut.

Very stupid of them not to release Maid-Sama 9 and Hetalia 3 considering they'd probably already been printed. Lots of people would've bought them and then fed money to Stu Levy's latest passing fad :/

FYI: From what I've gathered, 12 new titles from Tokyopop became available in June. They are:

.hack//G.U. 4 (novel)
AiON 3
Deadman Wonderland 5
Fate/Stay Night 11
Ghostface 1
Hanako and the Terror of Allegory 4
Happy Cafe 8
Maid Shokun 1
Priest: Purgatory 2
Samurai Harem 8
Sgt. Frog 21
The Stellar Six of Gingacho 3

These include "Hanako and the Terror of Allegory 4", which was previously scheduled to be released on April 26; and "AiON 3", "Deadman Wonderland 5", and "Maid Shokun 1", which were previously scheduled to be released on May 3. According to a post at "Soliloquy in Blue", the other 8 were among the titles scheduled for a May release. Previous posters have mentioned that titles were in comics stores, I've also seen the titles at the retail web sites for 2 comics stores.

I'm not sure if it just means that they had some extra in the back or something, but a local store I've frequented in the past still had a few Maid Shokun 1 volumes left on the shelf as of recently.

Is there still anything else coming out? I know Tokyopop is gone, but maybe they have some more volumes to come out before they are totally shut down...

Well, I recently brought up that I purchased as .//hack novel a few days ago that was published by Tokyopop at my local Barnes & Noble, but it was in the reduced section so I have to assume they were clearing it out.
