After the first season of CG my appetite was big. R2 turned out to be quite mediocre, pompous and overdone. On the surface engaging, once you look at it closer it became shallow. I was disappointed at the narration and the characters development as wel las a cheap and cheesy ending, definitely a lot of potential got wated here. |

It starts promising! At first glance looks quite funny, with a solid dose of mystery and likeable characters. And then it starts overkilling one or two jokes that at one point are no longer funny, the plot gets confused, some unmatching elements get thrown in, and the whole things is way too incoherent. Not my piece of cake. |

A fantastically nice surprise. I got drawn into it starting with the opening; although it is not sometihng that would be my fist pick for a samurai series, it works with it so well! Despite the rather slow pace, I never felt bored, and the way the characters were introduced was very well done. We discover their pasts bit by bit and in a satisfying conclusion all the different threads create an interesting whole. |

I loved it for many reasons: atypical animation, interesting main lead, mystery sprinkled with a tiny dose of humour. It suceeded in everything Requiem for the Darkness failed at. There is something hypnotising in it, and the theme of spirits has been exploited in a great way. |

It had elements I found quite exquisite- the fantastically weird design, claustrophobic mood, mysterious atmosphere, and a few good, although disturbing stories. But it also failed at making characters more interesting, and the climax was far from fulfilling. |

I must say, Im not a huge fan of shoujo series, romance and comedy is not my favourite combination, and stories about teenage stars and their love problems ahave never been my thing.
And yet, Skip Beat proved to provide me with lots of entertainment. First of all, the emphasis is not on love, but on how the main character gets better and better and struggles with her conflicting feelings. The romance really comes up in the very last episodes and it not even that in-your-face. And the amount of absurd scenes that are hilarious really made me love it. |

I liked it a lot until the last episode, although the character of Esther did everything it could to ruin the show for me.
However, it was not until the last ep where it seemed the makers tried to pack everything that they did not show previously. My expectations were built up, but we never really got to see any of the things we were suggested we would. |
