Anime Boston Will Host Voice Actresses Yuko Minaguchi & Yuu Asakawa, Writer Dai Sato

The organizers of Anime Boston announced this month that the event will host voice actresses Yuko Minaguchi and Yuu Asakawa at the event at the Hynes Convention Center on March 21-23.

Minaguchi is a veteran voice actress who has performed in popular series like Dragon Ball Z as Videl, Casshern Sins as Ringo, Kanon as Akiko Minase, Yawara! A Fashionable Judo Girl as Yawara Inokuma, Space Pirate Captain Herlock: Outside Legend - The Endless Odyssey as Mime, and Sailor Moon as Sailor Saturn.

Asakawa is the sample voice for Vocaloid Megurine Luka. She has voiced numerous characters during her anime voice acting career, including Sakaki in Azumanga Daioh, Priss in Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040, Rider in Fate/Stay Night, Shiryuu Chōun in Ikki Tousen, Motoko Aoyama in Love Hina, Itoko Osakabe in School Rumble, and Jura Basil Elden in Vandread. Most recently she starred as Satsuki Shinonome in last year's Love, Election, and Chocolate.

She has also performed theme songs for Boys Be..., Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040, Haruka: Beyond the Stream of Time – A Tale of the Eight Guardians, and Majikoi - Oh! Samurai Girls.

Asakawa has visited the United States before for Anime Expo in 2010 and NY Comic Con and Kawaii Con in 2012 and Anime Central last year.

Anime Boston also announced that Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and Ergo Proxy writer Dai Sato will appear at this year's convention.

Sato served as a scriptwriter for Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Ergo Proxy, Five Numbers!, Tekken: Blood Vengeance, and Chō Soku Henkei Gyrozetter. He is contributing scripts for the current Space Dandy television series and is in charge of series composition for the upcoming Fūun Ishin Dai Shogun television anime premiering in April. He also worked on the scenario for CAPCOM's upcoming E.X.Troopers video game for PlayStation 3 and Nintendo 3DS.

Previously announced guests include anime music super group JAM Project.
