Kodansha Creators' Lab Launches ARPG ‘Rise of Rebellion’ on PC April 21, Reveals Defense Shooter 'MOCHI-O'

TOKYO — 13 April, 2025 — Kodansha Creators' Lab, the indie game publishing arm of entertainment company Kodansha Ltd., shares multiple updates including the release date of developer Hytacka's 3D medieval fantasy action RPG Rise of Rebellion, the reveal of adorably apocalyptic defense shooter MOCHI-O coming to Steam, iOS and Android in 2025, and highlights the limited-time demo end date for co-op-only puzzler BOKURA: planet on 24 April, 2025.

Rise of Rebellion

Calculate every clash in the fantasy action RPG developed by Hytacka ascends onto PC via Steam on Tuesday, 22 April, 2025.

Precision is paramount; plan every step and swing of the blade in advance as warriors fighting to take their home back from invaders. Balance the art of swordsmanship with elemental “Mei” energy from the Earth that empowers both offensive and defensive Arts. Awww!! What a cute… National Defense Weapon. Don't let MOCHI-O's squishy appearance fool you — this powerful patriot exists only to protect the country. However, such strength requires plenty of affection and care. A combination of combat success, a steady diet of seeds, and cuddles can upgrade attack power, unlock new skills, and generate items. Battle through the apocalypse and save MOCHI-O's country from destruction!

Access to the standalone demo (distinct from upcoming 1.0 content) is available until launch day on Thursday, 24 April, 2025, in developer tokoronyori's collaborative interstellar journey requiring two players.

Guide a pair of doomed prisoners toward escape after crash landing on a hostile red planet. Communicate via voice chat to solve puzzles where both players must participate to forge a path forward. In a twist on the original BOKURA, BOKURA: planet introduces secret objectives for each player. Balance mutual survival with individual interests. Will the team make it out together, or will their hidden agendas result in shared sabotage?
