Do an anime you coward!
Id' expect it cost extra for all the ink needed for them eyebrow.
I coincidentally re read it a few months back, and its a blast! Natsuo is one of the few main character I really like, she's a complete bitch but everyone know that and they never let her get away with it. It seems to have been written by someone who actually liked the sport (looking at you megalobox) and there's some great fight choreography that don't stray too far into disbelief category.
The ending however really feel like the publisher just pulled the plug randomly, so its kinda of a letdown when you get there.

OMG, I cant believe that there's an actual opportunity to get Teppu. I mean this manga ended something like around a decade ago? IIRC there was a long hiatus because the mangaka had health issues. I remember the MC being pretty unique, a bit of a bully but also having a sympathetic side and some of the other characters having their own interesting motivations. I remember liking it a lot and always requesting it when some of the publishers would ask what title we would like to see picked up.
Some of the print inconsistencies are a bit worrisome, it almost sounds like they just scanned some prints with little correction. Still it will be great to revisit this. It looks like its available both digitally and print on demand. I guess I have to decide if I have the shelf space or go digital.

Teppu was such a great manga with such a disappointing ending. It clearly got canned by the publisher and had to be wrapped up as quickly as possible. Still, it's nice to see it finally getting an official translation.

Still haven't gotten around to Teppu yet, but this might be a good opportunity to.
I'm glad you mentioned the print quality of the new print-on-demand service. It's definitely something I was concerned about when I first heard about it. It doesn't look quite as good as regular manga print runs, but not bad enough that I'd pass on a particular volume I've been searching for in print, so thanks for the information and the pics! It's genuinely appreciated.

I keep meaning to get around to this series. Lord knows I'm familiar with unfinished series, for both good and bad reasons (looking at you, Act-Age and Swan), but I prefer reading my stuff physically if I can, so I guess I'll read this in book form til I can't anymore. :'D

I already have it on Kindle, but now I'm really interested in getting it in print. That was one great sport manga, with unconventional but badass characters and intriguing relationships. And the fact that it focused on bunch of rough women was even better, especially with such a variety of personalities among those fighters. I didn't mind the ending that much, even if it could be better.
I can only dream/hope for anime, or is there a chance?

Oh, blast from the past, this, along Double Arts, was the "I cannot believe they axed this" manga 10+ years ago.
The character writing was pretty good, and the series was not delusional either, Natsuo is just arrogant towards women, whenever she trained with random men at the gym she always got demolished and she was like "whatever, that's just how things are".
I liked how her arrogance turns simply in confidence, I also liked how Yuzuko its the stereotypical shonen main character, the author was like "What if I write an sports manga, but follow the asshole rival instead?"
The funniest part was however, how Yuzuko was a psychopath who will lose herself in the fight and break your arm, even in a training match, because she enters some kind of transe during the fight, but then revert to her cinnamon roll shounen personality when snapping out of it.
Interesting way to create tension but keeping the hero as a hero.
