I totally forgot about this anime. It was one of the first ones I watched. Seeing it has already 5 seasons and this new announcement, I have a lot to catch up with.

I will be glad if they finish animating the light novels.

My Japanese isn't great but I don't think anyone actually said it was an anime during the stream. Twitter accounts didn't mention anime either. BUT, with all the hints they dropped during the stream it couldn't be anything else.

Another season would finish the novels so it's either that or an anime original project

I hope they finish the last two volumes, season 5 final was altered in a way that made me think they might not but it's not a big change.

In this context, "anime project" just means it's not a stage play or game. They're choosing not to reveal the format - TV series, OVA, or movie. I think the discounting of the other potentials (aforementioned play or game or even a new novel) is due to the timing, and the fact that the promoted visual gives off the "vibe" of an animated work rather than a book cover or playbill ad.

It better be a conclusion of the date a live series because the 5th season didn’t feel like it was really the end

Maybe they might actually finish adapting the light novel and if it does

this will become one of the rare Light Novel adaptations to get the entire novels adapted, which would be more insane as it is a harem/comedy/fantasy series which those almost never get fully adapted no matter the original source it adapted.

And why do we need another one? As you know, Westcott kicked the bucket last year! There's literally no reason for this to continue!

Huh. Season 5 really felt like a finale and felt like it brought the story to a fairly satisfying conclusion. Didn't realize that there was still more story to adapt.

To answer the two comments above, there are 3 novels left to adapt. However, I'd say the last season was indeed a "Final Season" and the next would be more like an "Epilogue Season", as the main point is to show where everyone is going.

Either way, I’m done! There’s no need for me to continue!

Um, OK. Cool.

I think an epilogue is something I’d like to check out myself.
