Anime Central to Host Voice Actress Yuu Asakawa

The organizers of the Anime Central convention announced on Friday that Japanese voice actress and singer Yuu Asakawa will be a guest at the convention. Anime Central notes one of Asakawa's hobbies is English and fans can follow her English twitter account @Julia320.
Asakawa is the sample voice for Vocaloid Megurine Luka. She's voiced numerous characters during her anime voice acting career, including Sakaki in Azumanga Daioh, Priss in Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040, Rider in Fate/stay night, Shiryuu Chōun in Ikki Tousen, Motoko Aoyama in Love Hina, Itoko Osakabe in School Rumble, and Jura Basil Elden in Vandread. Most recently she starred as Satsuki Shinonome in last year's Love, Election, and Chocolate.
She's also performed theme songs for Boys Be..., Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040, Haruka: Beyond the Stream of Time – A Tale of the Eight Guardians, and Majikoi - Oh! Samurai Girls.
Asakawa has visited the United States before for Anime Expo in 2010 and NY Comic Con and Kawaii Con last year. She joins previously announced pop trio Kalafina.
Anime Central will be held from May 17 to May 19 at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in Rosemont, Illinois.
