Yaoi-Con has announced that voice actor Hidenobu Kiuchi (NANA's Ren Honjo, Monster's Kenzou Tenma) will be attending the con as a Guest of Honor. Yaoi-Con will be held at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport during this year's Halloween weekend (October 29-31).
Besides his roles as in Darker than Black, NANA, and Monster, Kiuchi has voiced roles in more than 40 anime, including Prince of Tennis' Yuushi Oshitari, Katekyo Hitman Reborn!'s Ryōhei Sasagawa, and The Story of Saiunkoku's Ryuuren Ran. Singing as the character Yuushi, he recorded a single that debuted at #11 on Oricon's weekly singles chart in Japan.
Yaoi-Con's website also lists manga creator Kano Miyamoto as an industry guest at the convention. Miyamoto previously attended Yaoi-Con in 2009. Aurora Publishing's Deux Press imprint publishes Miyamoto's Say Please, Lovers and Souls, and Two of Hearts manga in North America, and DramaQueen had licensed Not/Love. Her other titles include Vanilla Star, Calling, Nemureru Tsuki, Angelic Conversation, and Amayakana Toge.
Yaoi-Con announced that artist Jo Chen (The Other Side of the Mirror), who will be attending Yaoi-Con, will debut her first boy's-love dōjinshi, In These Words, at FanimeCon in San Jose, California this weekend.
Boys-love manga creators Ayano Yamane and Hinako Takanaga are set to appear at Yaoi-Con this year as well.
