by Mikhail Koulikov,
Studio Representatives: Nobu Yamamoto, Chad Kime, Steven Tang, Satoshi Fuji
No new licensed were announced at the panel. In terms of future plans, however, based on the sales of the Lupin III movies Pioneer has released so far, the company will consider acquiring more of them. The release of Last Exile and Licensed by Royalty will commence by December 2003. Release frequency for Last Exile volumes will be about once every other month. No release frequency was given for L/R, but the series will be released on four DVDs, with four episodes on the first disc and three each on the remaining three. Release of the Space Pirate Captain Harlock: The Endless Odyssey OAV series will commence early in 2004.
Regarding the Read or Die TV series, the official US title has not been selected as of yet.
Pioneer confirmed that the studio will not be involved in the release of the third Tenchi Muyo! OVA series.
Soundtracks to be released over the next several months include the Serial Experiments Lain Cyberia Mix, the second Hellsing OST, the second Chobits OST, the second X OST, Ai Yori Aoshi, Sugar and a number of others.
All of Pioneer's representatives strongly stated that the recent sale of Pioneer LDC to Dentsu would not affect release schedules in any way.
