That sounds amazing. Hopefully some clips will go up on Youtube or something so that those of us not in Japan can experience it, at least a little.

WAAAAAI! Awesome I so wish I could go! It would be so great to hear Madoka's OST in a full orchestrated mode live in concert. *sigh* Alas but a dream for now. Slightly related note, went to Video Games Live two years ago, would love to get the same experience for some of my fav anime OSTs

Oh man, this sounds so cool. I wonder who actually did the arrangements. It seems as though this Kenichi Shimura fellow did - and from what I can find out he certainly has the background in it - but I don't see for sure.

Since Shimura has a background in classical music, I have high hopes that he won't be going in for too much artificial bombast like so many other arrangers do. A lack of subtlety where it isn't appropriate is one of the biggest problems game and anime orchestral arrangements tend to have.

Anyway, I do hope that this becomes available to us by some means. I'm quite curious.

It would be nice if the music from Madoka Magica got more official love over here in the U.S.

Hmmm, theres probably going to be one heck of a long line for tickets first thing in the morning but I think I might try to get into this. Heres hoping its as good as the amateur Final fantasy tactics orchestral gig a couple of years back.

As for recordings - all recordings are, as a general rule, strictly prohibited and enforced here in Japan.

Hmm, where have I heard Hachioji before..?

*checks Google maps*
*zooms out*

Oh, right...

Considering that waiting in line over night is usually prohibited, I wonder how the ticket line is going to work out there. People taking the first train in the morning?
