Just got this in the mail today! I'm starting over from volume 1 because it's been a while since I've read any of Pluto.

Pluto is without a doubt one of the most satisfying comics I have ever read. Epic and exciting. With a heaping dose of Asimov style science fiction. It is without a doubt one of my favorite comics of all time.

Loved this manga. I need to buy it! I'll admit that I read scans, but the art in the real thing is just so much nicer.

Oh man, epic spoilers. Some of the reviewers manage to talk around things, and some really don't. I'm following this as it comes out in the UK, you know.

Argh, I really want to see the review but I am afraid of spoilers. I still didn't buy the last volume of this epic work.

And I'd love it if Animeigo could continue the DVD release too...(Not to slam them, they did a great job with the first box and I understand that the economy is slow.)

Most of the spoilers in it are for previous volumes. As someone who read scanlations (and owns the first three volumes, working my way through them gradually), I found it suitably vague enough that if you've read through 7 - and only if you've read that far - it's more of teaser than a spoiler. Plus if you've read the original Tezuka story, you should sort of know how this is going to end.

So... How is it that there wasn't any Anime adaptation for Pluto yet?

Until now? There still isn't one, to my knowledge.

Thanks, I decided to read the review. Nice review as always. I am pleased to see that there will be some epic stuff in this last volume. After reading 20th Century Boys and Monster online, I just had to start buying Pluto even though it's very expensive.

Pluto anime would be nice... but still, I am not sure if it would be as great as manga.

The extra essays and information at the end are definitely worth checking out. And I have a firm belief in buying Urasawa if for no other reason than to encourage Viz to release (as Carl mentioned) Yawara! I mean seriously, I read a few volumes of that online and that alone was enough to make me want to buy it. Get on it, Viz!

Just picked this up from the library today. Got vol. 7 last week and have yet to read it so I'm looking forward to double header.
