I always buy my brother random Anpanman stuff whenever I go geek out somewhere (cons and such.) Neither of us has actually seen it, but he's got the right goofy-weird thing going on that he enjoys. Plus, it's fun to see the looks on his friends faces when we explain that Anpanman lets people eat his head. Priceless.

Wow. And here I thought The Simpsons had a lot of characters.

Oh, and FYI, there's a mistake in the story. The Anpanman anime began in 1988, not '98.

I'll be damned, I bet this is what "Dokkoi Omusubi-kun" from Gyagu Manga Biyori is parodying. Well, that and Doraemon.

How is it even possible that there are almost 1000 episodes of this series?! That'd be about one new episode a week, every week for over 20 years! Is that even plausible?!

I meant production-wise. Don't they at least take a break?
