THAT'S IT?! If I was going to pay over 1 grand to go to Japan, I'd expect more exclusive guests. At least with Akadot, you get a free trip to the Ghibli Museum.

Roundtrip airfare to Japan with hotel and accomodations and the chance to see all the cool people that make the anime we enjoy for a over a 1 grand? That's a freakin' bargain!!! Airfare alone is about $1400 roundtrip. I really can't see the need to complain.

Note. It's $1400 for a Japanese convention, not Japan itself. That costs extra.

But airfare and accomodations are included in the cost of the convention. About $1200 total. Still a decent deal. I know, there's a $1450 post convention tour of Japan but guided tours with strict itineraries aren't my bag.

With Pop Japan Travel, you can go to a lot of places. With AX Tokyo, I pay an extra $1,000 to go to an anime con that only costs $50 bucks for me to attend in my city. And their GOH so far have already shown up at previous cons. They're really going to have to work harder to impress me, considering they've been planning this for 2 years.
