"You're buddy is in a suit of armor, and you're wearing gloves in the desert, and you call us freaks?" Is going to get a lot less funny for the actor.

Looks pretty cool I guess but, is that leather?
It's so shiny, he looks more like an outlaw than an intellectual.

Liking that jacket. Still shocked that it's filming in Italy.

They are near to Volterra Cathedral. So that means...
Volterra = Reole ?

It's funny how no one's crying or whining about this. The double standard is terrifying.

In Japan 98% of the population is Japanese so finding people of different ethnicities that speak fluent japanese and can act is probably harder than you think. Unless you want Jon Heder aka Napoleon Dynamite in your movies because surprisingly enough he speaks fluent Japanese. While here in Hollywood that is not a shortage of ethnic groups that can act and speak english.

Lol. Still couldn't see Yamachan as Ed, but hey can't judge until the film is out. He might just break my expectation and be better than I originally thought. What I do worry about is Al's role unless in this alternative story they make Al's soul missing and have Ed go to find it. Which eliminates the animation of an Al in the movie to just an empty shell shown lying around somewhere. Maybe that's why he's not in the cast list (yet?).

This movie is going to be a train wreck. Ed's supposed to be a short kid with an inferiority complex, turning him into a normal sized adult just leaves him with his smarts and alchemy which doesn't make for much of a character. I don't have a lot of faith in them making this Ed interesting when they're building the character around the actor rather than finding a suitable actor to fit the character.

What, about Japanese people playing a fictional race of characters? This is different than having an American seemingly play a Japanese woman.
