With Dragon Ascent being overwhelmingly powerful, as well as its Mega form, I don't think Rayquaza will find itself taking part in any competitive battle tournaments any time soon...

That mega-ability alone makes Braviarys, Hawluchas and Swellows look very, very scary...

I thought the opposite. I saw the trailer and thought to myself; "dang! well there goes my hope for delta emerald!.."
I think this mega would have been the selling point, but since its in OR/AS, there wont be a DE unfortunately

Mega Rayquaza was first revealed in Japan on that live stream of Kosuke and Tsubaki Ayana (PR actor/actress for AppBank) playing Sapphire/Ruby. The two hosts even got to play a local battle on ORAS, where Ayana used Mega Rayquaza to kick Kosuke's butt. I have my screenshots for it. =P
