I think the entire Kill Bill story would be amazing animated. I'm obviously biased toward animated entertainment, but that whole O-Ren part in Kill Bill Vol. 1 was easily my favorite part of either movie.

I already own the uncut version of "Kill Bill Vol 1" on a Japanese region DVD.

lol, good sports.
Though I'm sure Production I.G. must be getting some $$ for it afterward

Well, this is how it was originally intended, so this is one case of a director taking a second cut at his work that I can get behind. I just hope he doesn't add dewbacks and AT-ATs in the background.

When Kill Bill originally hit, Tarentino made it sound like the Whole Bloody Affair would hit a year or two later. Not 10.
Better late than never I guess.

Awesome. Maybe we'll finally get a home video release of the Whole Bloody Affair. A shame its taking so long though. I was planning to wait for Kill Bill for this edition, but since it took so long I just bought the individual BR/Dvd. I may double dip if this gets released. Kill Bill is my favorite movie, so I definitely want this. And IG doing an expanded anime sequence? Even better.

There's no way I'll rewatching the entire thing again in one go like that, I'd really just wanna see the extended anime sequence.

Awesome, always loved the movie and an expanded anime sequence would be fantastic.

Exactly. I'm sick and tired of hearing about it, honestly. Either do it or shut up.

Alright cool, probably wont watch it in the theater, but if they come out with a new blu-ray cut I'll definitely buy that.

Well, you have to admit this does sound interesting. Though I was curious if Tarantino wanted to do a KB3, but considering how 2 ended I doubt that a follow up would be needed. So what revenge would you need when everyone is either elderly or dead along with the ring leader.

^Their children! (No, seriously, I think he said part 3 wouldve been about the little girl in part 1 who saw her mom killed taking revenge). Oh and I remember hearing Tarantino wanted to make an anime origin story. Shame it never happened

I remember seeing that shot of Beatrix in animated form in an issue of Anime Insider back in 2003. The way it was presented was like there was going to be another anime sequence in Vol. 2, but there wasn't one and nothing came of that shot of anime Beatrix. I guess we may finally see a payoff on that tease. Better late than never, I guess.
