Lots of uh....boy love shows getting made lately.
Which is....something that's popular I guess.

as far as my knowlege goes, apart from Love Stage!, the third season of Junjou Romantica and now an anime of DMMd, there's no other BL anime announced
just saying
(and no, Free doesn't count, it's not BL despict what some people tend to say)

I think we could use some more BL adaptations. We've only had adaptations of Nakamura's works, aside from OVAs, and they're definitely not what the whole genre is like.
I wonder if we could ever see a "mainstream" BL anime starring 30+ year-old salarymen?

I'm curious as to what the next BL-based OVA/TV series with explicit sex will be...

Do we normally get two announced right after the other though? First Love Stage now this. Let's hope this isn't some freak event and means that BL is becoming more viable for adaptions.
(Still waiting for my shotacon anime, Japan....)

As much as I like DMMD, I'm not really holding my breath for this one. Especially after that Togainu no Chi adaptation.

Heck ya!
I have never played the game and have only a very vague idea of what it's about but I do own Maxfactory's Aoba and need to reason behind that very expensive purchase (that was sooooo worth it). So thank you for giving me a validation for that, thank you.
Now that an anime has been announced for this can we get a Lamento one too? I'm all in for an all cat-boy cast.

it's not like Love Stage was announced last month or at the beginning of the year
we knew the series would get an anime adaptation since 2013...

Given how rare BL anime is, that's still very fast.

well, there's a few yuri animes this year (Sakura Trick that was aired this season, and Akuma no Riddle & Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san which will be aired in spring)
so imo is not that surprising(?)
but yeah, I'm not gonna lie, I was surprised too, and it will be aired this summer!
I suppose its only purpose is to try to popularize even more the franchise so I don't really expect a super quality show... but hey, with luck I'm wrong and we get a masterpiece(?)

I'll second this. Then maybe they'd rerelease the figures and I could complete my set.

There were rumours about DMMd getting a port and anime. The anime is probably a marketing tool for the supposed port, so a Lamento anime probably won't happen for the sake of just having it sadly.
