I was browsing on amazon and I found these:
http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASIN/1591828376/qid=1142698839/sr=1-18/ref=sr_1_2_18/701-1008651-6346706 http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASIN/159182592X/qid=1142698867/sr=2-1/ref=sr_2_1_1/701-1008651-6346706 I know Tokyopop did a similar thing with Volumes 1-6 of Cardcaptor Sakura, and also Magic Knight Rayearth(both of which were WELL done) So it wouldn't really surprise me if they did something similar with these two series. Does anybody have any information is these will indeed one day come out, or is it a mistake on Amazon's part? The Clover one really sticks out as "might actually be real". Any comments, information? I really hope it's true, CCS and MKR has the most beautiful, colourful, and sturdy boxes. CCS also came with colour postcards and like one colour page in each volume. |

Tokyopop did INDEED release a Chobits box set back in the day however, it was only Vol. 8 and a limited edition Chi statue IIRC; but was only available at Waldenbooks.
I'm not sure about the Clover one, although I wouldn't mind if TP released (or rereleased) it because I just started gettin' into manga when this one finished. It disappeared off the shelves, and I haven't seen it since. |

Both Chobit boxset and the Clover Set you listed were never release and I don't think TP has any interested in releaseing them anymore. TP probably did plan to release them at one point but haven't mention anything about it to this day. Amazon probably forgot to take the listing down. I believe there's already a discussion about this years ago.
That's not a "boxset" A set usually include more than one volume. That was just a special LE box they did. |
