i don't understand the process Seven Seas is using to distribute their manga but this has to be insane. the last volume came out in September 2012 and next one won't be released until this October, according to their schedule. what could be taking them so long to publish it?

It's possible that volume 6 only came out in Japan recently, they can't come out in America any faster than that. Plenty of US releases have caught up with the Japanese ones and have had to slow down afterwards. Ooku is a good example, the first 5ish volumes came out fast, but in Japan, only one volume is completed every 8 months, so clearly US releases had to slow down. Blue Exorcist is now caught up with Japan, that's 1 volume every 4 months, I think when they started, US releases were every 2 months.

Uh, yeah, a quick look at Wikipedia will tell you it's because they caught up with the Japanese. Looking at the Japanese release dates, it looks like once a year is the norm for them.
Next time, why don't you try actually investigating a little before getting angry at the American publisher? |

ZepysGirl is correct, Toradora! comes out yearly in Japan, and we've basically caught up with the Japanese release. We (Seven Seas) have to wait until book 6 is released in Japan before we can license it and start the translation/lettering process.
