Woo-hoo, it sold slightly fewer copies than the fullscreen edition of The Whole Ten Yards!

Didn't the movie reach #1 on the video charts way back when?

Umm, I hate to burst your own bubble, but try the original 1960's (???) version. With the theatrical release of the remake, the DVD release of the original has skyrocketed.

The older one is better. I can't put my finger on it, but the concept seems much more in tune in the past than now. The remake is too convoluted and really seems out of place given the haphazard storytelling of that movie. I think Hollywood needs to cut out trying to remake past shows and movies. |

Yeah, for the most part remakes don't seem to work to well.. plus it's like they've run out of original ideas. |

Not bad. I did not know that GitS: SAC is that popular.

Well Bandai has also been running ads for it on TV, so that must've boosted sales. |

This is very impressive since, if I'm not mistaken, the sales are split between the single disc, and the DTS/BGM versions. If this is the case, GITS might have outsold some titles listed above it too.
