First using sports for political agenda now venturing into (video) mobile games, anime and manga to extend their agenda to show KSA open-minded views? Ugh, it will become a pain to investigate beforehand watching or boycotting an anime...

The Saudi royal family is just going to buy up everything in entertainment at some point.

They’ve had a stake in SNK for awhile. And they were supposedly in talks to invest in Embracer until shit went down. So this isn’t new territory.

Now that's a lot of historic location-tracking data going to the Saudis in the deal.
(Both Ingress and Pokemon Go are based on realtime location tracking, as well as players submitting IRL points of interest to serve as as in-game interactable locations.)

It's crazy that Pokemon Go is allowed in Saudi Arabia even though the rest of the Pokemon franchise is banned there since 2001.

They unbanned it around 10 years ago.
