Arca Remix of Hikaru Utada Set For Release

HIKARU UTADA'S LATEST TRACK "ELECTRICITY – ARCA REMIX” SET FOR RELEASE ON FEBRUARY 28

TOKYO, JAPAN — Hikaru Utada's latest song "Electricity," featured on the 2024 best-of album "SCIENCE FICTION," has become a highlight of their recent repertoire, having been performed as an encore at multiple stops during their eponymous tour last year. It has become a fan favorite and reminder of the celebrated artist's continued creativity, with the song's music video having over 1.7 million views as of now.

Now, the new remix of "Electricity"arrives on February 28. This time, it comes courtesy of avant-garde creator Arca, the acclaimed musician and producer based in Barcelona. Arca took stage at Tokyo's SONICMANIA music festival in summer 2024 and has also been confirmed for Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2025. With Arca's distinctive artistry, “Electricity” takes on an entirely new sonic dimension.

Arca's rework follows Karen Nyame KG's remix, which came out earlier this month, with a pre-release party taking place the night before at EXPO'70 Pavilion Annex in Osaka, drawing an enthusiastic crowd.
