If this is true then it seems that SAC director, Kenji Kasmiyama, let it slip there will be more animated.

I thought it was already mentioned in the past that there was more coming past 2nd Gig? Maybe it was just me, but i was under the impression that they had no immediate plans to end the series.

What I'd love to see is an entire series devoted to the Tachikomas. I always thought the episodes surrounding them were the best due to how you thought philosophically. A robot that knows more about life than the average human being. Now that's interesting.

Man Machine Interface, perhaps?

Or is that covered in 2nd Gig?

Now that I think about it , you are right I remember seeing an interveiw with the director in the extra's on one of the 1st season dvd's that said they wanted to make more. At the time it seemed like they were not sure . So it's good to hear more info on the possibility of more after 2nd gig. Smile

Well, after reading this Anime Expo 2005 Production I.G. pannel report, I was under the impression that there wasn't any plans for the series in the near future. Good to see they were hiding something from us Twisted Evil

If I were to wager a guess, I think they'll try to bring back The Laughing Man for a 3rd Gig and Tachikoma's will get their own OVA spin-off. The merchandise options alone would net them a helluva lot more money.
