Physics Point Wins Pony Canyon's 1st Anime Adaptation Prize

Indie game circle wins 1 million yen, opportunity to get concept animated
The independent game production circle Physics Point won the top honor in Pony Canyon's first ever Anime-ka Taishō (Anime Adaptation Prize). Physics Point, which consists of the creative duo Otono Shimura and Suyuri Hiraume, won 1 million yen (about US$10,000) and the opportunity to have their D.backup concept adapted into anime.
The competition allows for any source material to be entered, including manga, novel, illustrations, or music. There also no qualification requirements on entries or story genre.

Members of the judge's panel include Good Smile Company president Takanori Aki (Senki Zesshō Symphogear, Black Rock Shooter executive producer), President and CEO of Production I.G Mitsuhisa Ishikawa (Attack on Titan, Guilty Crown executive producer), A-1 Pictures president Mitsuo Ueda (Birdy the Mighty: Decode, InuYasha planning), Nitroplus president Dejitarō, J.C. Staff department chief Yuji Matsukura (Karin, Honey and Clover animation producer), and an unnamed Pony Canyon anime producer.
The committee collected submissions for the contest from June until September 2. In addition to the grand prize, the competition also offers special prizes for 300,000 yen (US$3,000).
