Diamond Comics to Distribute Studio Ghibli Merchandise

Diamond Book Distributors, the comic book distributor for many publishers, signed a deal to distribute Studio Ghibli-related merchandise. The collectibles, toys, and home goods were mainly available through independent importers before.
John Parker, Diamond Vice President of New Business Development, said, "Diamond will be able to offer the widest selection of products for My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Kiki's Delivery Service, and many others."
Diamond became the "preferred partner" for Osamu Tezuka property merchandise in December.
The Studio Ghibli items will begin to hit store shelves through Diamond in April.
