Japanese Box Office, September 11-12

The live-action film adaptation of Harold Sakuishi's Beck manga dropped from #1 to #3 during the September 11-12 weekend. In its second weekend, it earned US$2,496,898 more on 316 screens to add to its total of US9,853,237.
Hiromasa Yonebayashi and Studio Ghibli's The Borrowers (Karigurashi no Arrietty) anime film also dropped from #3 to #5 on Kogyo Tsushinsha's box office chart during its ninth weekend. According to Box Office Mojo, the movie earned US$1,240,071 on 353 screens to add its total of US$102,426,760.
The double billing of Metal Fight Beyblade VS Taiyō Shakunetsu no Shinryakusha and Duel Masters: Honō no Kizuna XX!! fell from #6 to #9 in its fourth weekend on Kogyo Tsushinsha's chart. Box Office Mojo reports that it added US$380,667 on 216 screens at #10. It now has a gross-to-date of US$5,523,301.
The newest Pokémon movie, Pocket Monster Diamond & Pearl: Genei no Hasha Zoroark, slipped from #12 to #13 on Box Office Mojo's chart in its tenth weekend. It garnered US$253,540 on 309 screens. The 13th movie in the Pokémon franchise made US$47,204,602 since its opening.
The double billing of Kamen Rider W Forever A to Z Unmei no Gaia Memory and Tensō sentai Goseiger: Epic on the Movie is no longer listed on either chart.
