The Spirit Hunter series has garnered numerous awards and perfect scores. Of Spirit Hunter: Death Mark, Pure PlayStation said, “[It] is a great visual novel filled with creepy moments and horror around every corner. The combined elements of sound designed to keep you on edge and art that will shock you in both quality and severity act together to create an experience that kept me engaged from beginning to end.” Digitally Downloaded commented, "Death Mark is a magnificent example of how a more literary approach to horror can really work within the context of a video game."
In Spirit Hunter: Death Mark, A strange rumor is spreading in Tokyo's H City: those who bear the Mark will die. Unexpectedly appearing on the body, like a chewed up birthmark, the Mark is said to result in an unknown death. Now, having lost your memory, you stand before a mysterious house said to protect those who possess the Mark. As the doors swing open, the countdown to death has already begun. Be ready, for when a spirit does attack, crucial mistakes mean certain death.
